Nansha Harbor is a Nansha harbor area, divided into Nansha New Harbor and Old Harbor. Nansha Port is located on the west coast of Longtan Island, Nansha District, Guangzhou City, facing the South China Sea in the south, looking east to Shenzhen, and connecting to Nan (Hai), Panyu and Shunde in the west, located in the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, and is the necessary place for the Guangzhou-Foshan Economic Circle and the west-wing cities of the Pearl River Delta to go out to the sea; the 100-kilometer radius covers the entire Pearl River Delta city cluster, and is the pivotal node for the connection of the city clusters on both sides of the Pearl River Delta.
Nansha New Port is located in Nansha District of Guangzhou City on the west bank of the Pearl River, facing the South China Sea to the south, looking east to Shenzhen, and leaning against Nanhai, Panyu and Shunde to the west, which is at the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta. Within a radius of 100 kilometers, Nansha New Port covers the entire Pearl River Delta (PRD) city cluster including Hong Kong and Macao, and is the bridgehead of Guangzhou's strategy of expanding its urban space to the south, the road to the sea for the Guangzhou-Foshan Economic Circle, the pivotal node connecting the PRD city cluster, and the first choice of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao for comprehensive cooperation. The four 100,000-ton deep-water berths of Nansha New Port were put into operation on September 28, 2004, with a main shoreline of 1,400 meters, a width of 600 meters, and a depth of water of -15.5 meters, which can smoothly berth the world's largest container ships; the barge shoreline is 653 meters long, with a depth of 1,300 meters, and a yard area of 1,080,000 square meters, which can accommodate more than 145,000 standard containers at the same time; CFS loading and unloading storage yard area of 15,552 square meters, 1,080 reefer sockets, 760 dangerous goods containers; 16 inbound lanes, 12 outbound lanes.
